1. Pay yourself
first- Pay yourself 10%-15%of your check every pay period.

with cash only
3. Pay off your debt
*Pay off
cars, loans, medical bills, and any other debt you have draining you
down every month
*Pay off your smallest debt first, then work your way up to your largest debt
until they are all gone.
4. Live below your means
*You must have more money coming in than going out.
*Operate on needs not wants
*Cut back on shopping, and some bills around the house
5. Build Emergency Fund
*Save up 3 to 6 months of monthly expenses
*This fund is how you avoid going back into debt with credit cards and loans.
*The fund is only for when things go wrong in life like: jobs loss, car
breakdown or house repair
6. Educate yourself & invest
*Learn all you can about personal finances
*Read about credit, credit cards, mutual funds, and saving accounts
*Educate yourself on the stock market and learn how
*Money market accounts with banks
*IRA accounts
*Mutual funds
*Real estate
*Disability insurance
